An Honour & a Privilege

It was an honour and privilege to meet with the Ghana High Commission in London — sitting down with Her Excellency Mrs Sabah Zita Benson to discuss our upcoming event, Rapperholic, taking place on Ghana’s Independence Day, Friday 6th March.

I was joined by my partner on the project, Josh Casey (Kilimanjaro Live), who has hosted some of the finest Afrobeats events in London and across the UK.

Rapperholic is a huge brand in Ghana, founded by Sarkodie, and has been running annually since 2012. In a recent meeting with Sarkodie and his team, he expressed his desire to bring the event to London — with performing at the Royal Albert Hall as the goal. Within days, we secured the venue and put a launch plan in motion.

On 25th December 2025, at the climax of Rapperholic 25:25 in Accra, Sarkodie officially announced that the next edition would take place in the United Kingdom. A QR code was displayed on screen for early ticket access, igniting a massive online movement that resulted in over 10,000 sign-ups. When the show went on sale in early January, it sold out within 7 days.
